USEFUL INFORMATION

This page contains concepts, definitions and information about coaching.

Coaching is about helping someone else learn without telling them what to do or what to think. The idea is that the coachee (the "coachee") makes all the decisions and decisions. Ultimately, coaching helps people reach their full potential by helping them unlock their thinking and remove obstacles.

The International Coach Federation defines coaching and the responsibilities of the coach as follows.

Coaches consider each client an expert in their own life and work, believing that each client is creative, resourceful, and whole. A professional coaching relationship includes an agreement that outlines the responsibilities of each party in the coaching process. When coaching is built on this foundation, the coach's responsibilities include:

  • Discovering, clarifying and aligning with what the client wants to achieve,

  • Encouraging the client to discover himself/herself,

  • To reveal the solutions and strategies produced by the client,

  • To make the client responsible and accountable
